German Timber Congress 2024 in Düsseldorf
On 21 November, the Timber Congress 2024, which took place in Düsseldorf, Germany this year, came to an end. More than 300 participants attended the two-day industry meeting organized by the German Sawmill and Timber Industry Association. With the apt motto "Wood - the Raw Material of Tomorrow", the event was held in the spirit of the enormous potential of this raw material. The congress was complemented by interesting presentations and panel discussions, where the topics of forest degradation and raw material supply could be explained in detail or where the perspectives of sustainable forestry and timber industry could be highlighted.
"Our first active participation in the congress was characterized by a friendly atmosphere and left us with very positive impressions of the presentations delivered. We also had the opportunity to personally talk with representatives of German sawmills about future business opportunities," concluded Daniel Slovák, Managing Director of Bochemie Wood Care.
